Shore stations are 4.600 MHz above the ship frequency. In U.S. waters the shore frequency may be used on Channels 20, 24-28 & 84-87. Channels 1-5 & 60-64 are shared with other services. Channels 75 & 76 are reserved as guard bands for ch 16.

Specific assignments include:

06 (156.300) - Intership Safety
13 (156.650) - Weather, notices, etc.
16 (156.800) - General Calling  & Emergency to Coast Guard
22 (157.100) - Coast Guard Liaison
