NEW: OSP Post 76 (Canton) goes on MARC system

The Canton Ohio State Patrol office has now moved its dispatching to a local 800Mhz APCO network. The older 155.445Mhz will be used for some traffic, but most traffic will be on the newer system. There are two repeaters setup in the Massillon and Canton area to serve Stark county. The official switch happened sometime Sunday night (May 16). Any APCO digital scanner will follow the new system. It is my belief that the new system may not cover the county with only two repeater sites. This may be one reason why there are still a few units on the VHF simplex frequency.
